Castle Cake
I love this cake, it was so effective and colourfull.
The top of the cake (the castle) was made out of pastillage, fixed to a board covered in sugarpaste.
The base cake is vanilla sponge, with apricot jam as the filling, a simple cake as it was for a four year old and her friends.
The cake is covered in regalice, edged with 'jelly tots', the cake was dowelled and the castle stood on the top.
The mother of the birthday girl provided the toy fairies which we stood on the cake.

Antique gold, boxed cupcakes
These fabulous muffin sized cupcakes (130) were chocolate sponge, with piped buttercream and coated with a glossy chocolate ganache.
Each cupcake was topped with a sugar cala lily and leaf, place in an individual perspex box, each one tied with a metre of ribbon, with beads, butterfly and tag on the top.
The effect was that of a french confectioners window! Stunning.
Garden Wedding
This bride wanted a summer garden wedding -in style - very relaxed, therefore simple fairy cakes were the order of the day.
The vanilla cakes had a vanilla buttercream and were cut in butterfly shapes. The chocolate cakes had chocolate buttercream and had the tops sliced off, filled with buttercream and stuck back on the top like top-hats.

Roses And Lillies Wedding Cake
This is my first wedding cake. The bottom tier is a fruit cake, the middle: a vanilla sponge with buttercream and jam and the top tier is fruit. All three are covered in ivory regal-ice.
The floral sprays consist of cala lillies, roses, rose leaves and generic green leaves. To add a bit of glitz I added crystals and bear grass.
The board is also scattered with crystals.
To add a bit of drama, gold tulle was scattered draped around the cake stand, this matched the brides colour scheme on all the tables.
