Twins 30th Birthday Cake

This is the cake I made for my husband and his twin brothers 30th. They are very different in their interests but both have their mother as their focus as she isn't very well at the moment, this is why i decided to put her at the centre of the cake. The left hand side has one twins interests and the right hand side is the other twin. Hence why it is such a jumbled set of objects. Anyway I think its great fun and it went down a treat!

A quick birthday cake!

My neighbour asked for a birthdday cake for her husband with only 10 hours notice! this is what i rustled up for her, any excuse to practice my smooth icing and im there.

Kids Castle Cake

I love making cakes for kids too, they are good fun as they arent as fiddly, this was for a 3 year old girl, so obviously the castle had to pink!

50th Birthday

This is my first paid for commision, It was for a 5oth birthday party with over 100 guests. It was a 12" round chocolate cake with a buttercream filling.

The top is decorated with three different sizes of orchids. There is a lot of detail on the cake but it was at the request of the client and I think it works.

My First Cake

I am really proud of this cake. It is my first 'proper' cake, I made it for my nans birthday and it took me about 4 weeks to make all the sugar flowers on top.

I put it all together with the handy assistance of my tutor, and I have to admit she did the writing, however I smoothed iced it and piped the edge.
